The James S. Stapleton Foundation (JSSF) is a multi-facted, non-profit outreach program that focuses on both at-risk and youth in economically challenged families who have limited access to extra-curricular programs. We at JSFF, in partnership with Johnson Chapel AME Church of Santa Ana, have implemented a good music academic and mentorshipprogram entitled M.A.G.I.C.
(Maximizing Autistic Growth In the Community)
M.A.G.I.C. offers music theory and composition, and also provides avademic tutoring to youth ages 7-16. Students in our music program are instructed on drums, piano, bass, acoustic guitar, vocals and art classes. In addition, we have instituted several tutoring programs; mathematics, english composition, social science, critical thinking skills; for out students to assist them in their preparationtoward conquering the challenges of tomorrow.
JSFF velieves that this approach is not only vital to our youth, but critical to our commnity. JSFF has 50 students enrolled in the M.A.G.I.C. program.
